Ruca has a self-sustaining early-stage investment arm that is derived solely based on our services revenue. So without outside people to impress or stay on some predefined course, we are left to support whatever we want to with our own hard-earned money. Thus, no thesis, just gut, and passion.

Ruca practices a 1-1 model with every contract. On the services side, a percentage of profit is cut out for future startup needs. When that profit fills up the fund high enough, we distribute our capital to the startups, and the cycle repeats itself.

Ruca Ventures invests and supports founders who are building companies that have the potential for good and an unquantified or unexpected secret sauce.
We are not your traditional venture fund. We are self-funded and serve as our own LP. This enables us to look beyond 10X returns and to share carry with the Ruca co-op.

Why did we get involved?

Cquence earned our backing by turning messy data and raw video into fast, clear storytelling tools, empowering creators to move at the speed of ideas.

Ruca is actively building Yorba in-house because we saw the mess for what it is: an internet optimized for businesses to extract, not for people to manage. Everyone’s walking around with bloated digital baggage, and no tools to unpack it. Yorba is our answer: built for real people to reclaim control in a world of automated, unasked-for clutter and needless junk.

Why are we building this?

We invested in NextGen Venture Partners Fund II because we believe the future of venture lies in shared access, mentorship, and ownership, and their community-first model gives founders the ecosystem they’ve always deserved.

Withfriends reimagines how small businesses and creators build community-driven revenue, and the founders live that mission with heart.

We backed Says because we believe voice will shape the next generation of online connection, and they’re building the platform to make it real.

Gridline believed that scaling the future of solar energy starts with better financial and project management platforms, and they were quietly building that foundation, but ran out of runway.
